Main Challenges of Municipal Public Managers in the Adoption of an Agenda for Confronting Climate Change:
a case study of the Goiânia City Hall

The purpose of this article is to analyze the challenges faced by municipal public managers in face of the prospects for climate change, such as an irreversible social, environmental and international request. The objective of the research was to describe how the public management of Goiânia has adhered to and implemented plans for the mitigation of greenhouse gases and the increase of Earth's temperature under legal, administrative and sustainable perspectives. The methodology is descriptive, exploratory and bibliographic study. Finally, as public managers demand the understanding of new trends in the construction of a sustainable public agenda.
