NATUREZA DAS OCORRÊNCIAS REGISTRADAS NO DEPARTAMENTO DE FISCALIZAÇÃO AMBIENTAL DO MUNICÍPIO DE CATALÃO-GO

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify and quantify the nature of the occurrences recorded in the Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente de Catalão-GO (SEMMAC), which provides the population of the municipality 24-hour complaints service through the Environmental Patrol. 5,050 occurrences in 2018, 5,133 in 2019 and 2,743 in the first half of 2020 were registered with the Departamento de Fiscalização Ambiental (DFA) of SEMMAC. In the studied period, the highest number of occurrences related to the urban area was observed. There was no apparent difference in the number of occurrences recorded per month. Regarding the nature of the recorded occurrences, in all the years analyzed, the highest number of occurrences related to sound pollution was registered, and the occurrences related to atmospheric pollution, mistreatment of domestic animals, overflows in the public sewage system, septic tanks were also representative, as well as discharge of effluents and wastewater on public roads, damage to vegetation and wild animals in captivity. The data presented offer subsidies for knowledge about environmental issues at the municipal level, being able to collaborate in the discussions of the entities involved in planning supervisory and educational actions.
