O Regime Fiscal e a Política Social no Brasil: Análise recente e desafios

Social policy in Brazil is one of the government tools used to reduce poverty and inequality. Especially after 2004, it was give emphasis to this area, mainly after social programs such as “Bolsa Família” and the continuous appreciation of minimum wage. However, in recent years (after the impeachment of ex-president Dilma Rousseff), the actual government - through Constitutional Amendment number 55 ”“ made a fiscal adjustment that will leave social policy struggled, which it should affect the population on extreme poverty. Therefore, the article objective is analyze the possible effects of the current fiscal regime on Brazilian social policy, using as a methodology the bibliographic review and the data provided by IBGE, National Treasury, etc. The results already shows the rise of extreme poverty and inequality, with worse perspectives in coming years.
