ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA ENTRE MODELOS DE ASA CONVENCIONL E GEODÉSICA

A mais antiga aplicação da estrutura geodésica data de 1911, pré ”“ primeira guerra mundial,com aplicação no dirigível Schütte-Lanz SL1. Posteriormente a estrutura foi empregada em bombardeiros por Vickers-Armstrongs nas aeronaves Wellesley, Wellington, Warwick e Windsor. A estrutura geodésica possibilita que qualquer uma das longarinas possa suportar uma parte da carga a partir do lado oposto da aeronave, oferecendo uma elevada resistência mecânica. Não se sabe com exatidão o motivo do abandono do modelo de
construção geodésico, porém um dos possíveis motivos foi a dificuldade de modificação da estrutura física da aeronave com objetivo de permitir uma mudança no comprimento dos perfis. Atualmente os modelos de asas são convencionais, ou seja, com as nervuras dispostas paralelamente entre si e ortogonais as longarinas e baionetas. Objetivando a obtenção da relação peso/resistência de ambas as estruturas, uma simulação foi realizada no software Abaqus CAE 6.13 ”“ 4, onde torção e flexão foram os parâmetros
analisados. Espera-se como resultado um maior peso e maior resistência a torção e flexão por parte da estrutura geodésica, uma vez que esse modelo construtivo apresenta os mesmos componentes da estrutura convencional com acréscimo de 12 nervuras.
