This paper analyzes the issue of reproductive rights from the black feminist production standpoint, by appropriating the intersectional perspective of gender and race. It argues that the unique experiences of black women require a different way of thinking the issue of sexual and reproductive rights, which goes beyond which focuses on the hegemonic feminism. Such experiences are crucial in understanding these women differently with respect to the reproduction issue, motherhood and sexuality.
