Abstract

Purpose ”“ To analyze the Senate Bill no. 748/ 2015 using Responsive Regulatory Theory.

Methodology/approach/design ”“ Comparative evaluation between the Senate Bill no. 748/2015 and Responsive Regulation Theory.

Findings ”“ The senate bill do not solve satisfactorily the sector problems caused by Airbnb’s action.

Practical implications ”“ Present the responsive theory as a useful tool to regulate Airbnb’s market sector.

Originality/value ”“ This article applies theoretical paradigms to the analysis of the Senate Bill no. 748/2015, presenting some failures that could be fixed before the rulemaking process comes to an end.
