Abstract

This article has the purpose of relating my late and autonomous trajectory of a foreign language acquisition. Reading an article of Baltra (2000) in which he shows, in a very personal way, his story as a learner of the Portuguese language in Brazil, was a motivator to the way this work was
developed. Also, the contributions of Paiva (2002) e Moura Filho (2009), who defend that later academic literary productions have to lose the distance of scientificity and give room to individual traces of each writer and researcher were taken into account. Through thinking of a more personal creation of scientific articles and reflecting my readings about autonomy, motivation, acquisition, styles and strategies was that I decided to take this course: the one of subjectivity. This work has the objective of exposing what factors motivated my learning process ”“ styles and strategies used ”“ and
the unconsciousness of the use of concepts. It is unconscious because, if these concepts were exposed to me during the first stages of my learning process, I would reach the peak of acquisition faster and more consciously.
