The aim of this article is to discuss some of the theses of a very important figure of the 20th century who, unfortunately, seems somewhat forgotten today: the theologian, physician, missionary, philosopher and musician Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965). To this end, we will limit ourselves to analyzing his work On The Edge of the Primeval Forest and some fragments of a biographical nature. This work is, in reality, an account of his experience as a physician and missionary in Africa, dated 1920. From it we can glimpse important aspects of his thinking about Christianity, his ethical concepts and also his multicultural dialogue with the African world and its different expressions of faith and culture. This account is an expression of a culture of peace and tolerance and, therefore, fundamental in all times.
