Abstract

As an engaging and complex theme, the question of God and the Transcendental presents itself to us in Martin Heidegger's thought. In the course of his philosophy, especially in what we can characterize as the last Heidegger, this author does not demonstrate either an atheistic or theistic position. Above all, the character of his thinking makes the task of discussing God in his philosophy complex. Even more difficult is the possibility of accurately understanding the issue of divinity in his thinking. Difficult research is required in his vast philosophical production, which never intended to assume the character of a unit. He never approached the theoretical assumptions and usual meanings that can characterize a work. We mean that we can tend to imagine a systematic unity between various moments of an evolutionary process, revealing countless phases of an intellectual journey. However, this is exactly what we will not find throughout this philosopher's thought.  Martin Heidegger points out paths, the most diverse ramifications, in a philosophy that develops in particular ways that never completely abandon the determination of its first core. In this way, the event of truth in the tension between being and being, between veiling and unveiling, presents itself with strength in its intention to address the issue of God and the Sacred.
