This text works in the defense of the dialogical rapprochement between faith and reason. The text was constructed considering the reciprocal effect between two tensions: naturalism x religion and secular citizens x religious citizens. The first dispute is purely theoretical and addresses the narrowing of rationality led by naturalism and the loss of rational motivation to think morality. The second one concerns the socio-political relations between believers and non-believers in a post secular society. The meeting point of these rivalries is in a vicious circle where disputes feed each other and both sides end up with irreparable losses. Supported by Habermas and Ratzinger we seek to overcome these tensions through the idea of mutual learning between differences, showing in a new perspective that the recovery of the ancient and productive relationship between religion and philosophy is the only chance to overcome the confrontations standardized by a virtuous circularity between faith and reason.
