The purpose of the text is to present the technological design as an important element that makes it possible to make an approximation between technology and religion. So, first of all, we look for a few items that help us specify how we understand technology and religion. Second, we seek to characterize technological design as a process that involves, according to Veermars et.al (2011) three phases, i.e, a conceptual phase; a detailing phase and materialization phase. Thus, design can be understood as the methodological procedure that underlies the creation and development of structures, artifacts and technological devices that are present in a plurality of values. Finally, we will seek a technology of religion through architecture, more specifically, by analyzing the elements that have been taken into account in the construction of Christian sacred spaces, and consequently placing greater emphasis on Catholic constructions.
