The point of this work is to show that is a misconception to approach religion and science as worldviews in the sense of there is a scientific worldview and a religious worldview. This misconception is a result from the idea that it would be possible to completely ignore our primitive beliefs and to live only with rational and evidentialist beliefs or from idea that only a branch of knowledge makes use of reason. To achieve that goal, I will start from an analysis of the worldview concept and how we form our worldview. I will argue that it is formed both by immediate beliefs (without the necessary use of reflection) and mediate beliefs (mediated using reason). After this I will show the effects that my approach would have on the debate of the relationship between science and religion.
