Este artigo explora a relação entre tradição e inovação nas religiões, destacando como tradições podem ser inventadas ou reinterpretadas para atender a necessidades contemporâneas. No contexto das religiões, a tradição sagrada é frequentemente uma combinação de herança do passado e criação moderna para legitimar novas práticas e doutrinas. Ao final, concluímos que as crenças e práticas religiosas influenciam e são influenciadas por outros registros culturais, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento do futuro ao se adaptarem às condições históricas prevalecentes.
