Essential aspects in information units management: an international literature review

Abstract

As many researches have showed, managers of information service units actually do much more than what textbooks prescribe. These “extra-activities” are nevertheless most important to managerial work. They vary in several respcts, such as frequency and level of difficulty. The presente review tries to identify how education and training for these activities have been presented and discussed in the international literatura of the area.
