Abstract

Dicusses the present context of the information society, the development of competitive intelligence and knowledge management, training of human resources, and the proposal for dissemination of competitive intelligence in Brazil. The methodology used for setting up the Brazilian courses and the results achieved are presented, as well as the proposals for improvement. The conclusion is that teaching on competitive intelligence is gaining ground as a result of the evergrowing acknowledgement of information as a fundamental strategic tool in support to the decision-making process.
