The patient’s right to the truth, which is foreseen in the Code of Medical Ethics and in the American Association of Hospitals, has still been a great difficulty for the medical class. In that article, the author summarizes its main discussion points and it tries to synthesize the ethical criteria to be adopted by the professionals of health.
