Keywords:
Language; Environment; Speech; Interdisciplinary approach.Abstract
This brief paper discusses the importance of thinking about the relationship between language and environment, since the former plays an important role in influencing speakers to realize or to build the world around them. In order to establish this link between language studies and environmental issues, an interdisciplinary approach is necessary, together with a concern to highlight the political and social ramifications of the interactions, in order to discover how the producers of discourse are really positioning themselves in relation to environment.
