Abstract

This paper is the result of a transcript of communication given by the author about the creation process of the play As Comadres, performed by Brazilian actresses, between 2018 and 2019, under the artistic supervision of Ariane Mnouchkine, from the play Les Belles Soeurs by Michel Tremblay with librettos, lyrics and staging by René Richard Cyr and music by Daniel Bélanger. The construction of the scene is approached here, through the presentation of training devices and creators used in the essays: the exercise of copying the“performances” of the Canadian montage; repetition of copies by various actresses; alternating two or more actresses acting on a character; and the formation of the choir.
