Abstract

The present work consists of a compilation and translation of the scholia on verses 626- 718 of Acharnians, Aristophanes’ comedy. These verses make up the parabasis of that comedy. The compilation of the Greek text of the scholia was produced from the editions of I. Bekker (1829), G. Dindorf (1838), F. Dübner (1855), M. A. Martin (1882), W. G. Rutherford (1896) and N. G. Wilson (1975). The translation of the scholia, unpublished in Portuguese, was made directly from the Greek text compiled here. Preceding the texts and translations of the scholia, the Greek verses of Acarneses were also placed, according to the edition S. D. Olson (2002), and their respective translations, also of our own.
