Abstract

The following text will address the issues of implicatures expressed through the design of the film “The Boy and the World”, in order to understand the way they are presented in visual language. With this, it is possible to understand a bigger question about how the aesthetics used creates space for the inference of the public. While the films use implicatures to build their comedy or romance in their narrative mechanisms, in “The Boy and the World” there is also an invitation to the public to explore the visual language constructed and to create inferences from figures, shapes, and colors. To this end, the text is based on the aesthetic study of the universe of the film, analyzing how the construction of the discourse is developed through visual contextualization and the previous knowledge of the interlocutor, through theoretical studies of semiotics and the theory of implements.
