Abstract

This article argues that the Trumpists have not exactly taken up the previous half-century’s conservative reproductive politics, however. Instead, it suggests that we can locate their ruling narratives in gender ideology, a set of claims closely linked to xenophobia and what they call “critical race theory,” which can be characterized more broadly as a neo-fascist position being forged from the Americas to Europe. It brings together new forms of public policy claims on behalf of conservative religious groups, a form of reproductive governance that yokes anti-trans, xenophobic, racist, and anti-gay politics to reproductive rights.
