Most of the articles on this collection are based on researches carried out in Pará, especially due to the booming development of musical sciences or subareas of Music in that State, especially in Ethnomusicology and Music Education, but also in the History of Music and Musical Archives , for example, fostered by a variety of scientific events and by the creation and development of Graduate Programs in which music is present, among other reasons.
