The present article presents a clipping of the results of the survey entitled “Musical memory in Pará: Luiza Camargo”. The research aims to develop research on musical memory in Belém do Pará and contribute to the writing of music history and local music education. It is about research in the context of the history of music and musical education, from documents found in the personal archive of the teacher, pianist and composer of Paraense Luiza Camargo (1934 ”“ 2017). Through the study of a personal file it is possible to reconstruct the memory and identity of an individual and his social group. This is because the archive is a construction of someone about themselves and directly or indirectly about the universe in which it is inserted. The results presented here reveal the memory of musical practices and musical education of the contexts where Luiza Camargo circulated and, as an effect, his identities as a teacher, pianist and composer. It is hoped, through this writing, to collaborate for the understanding of some of the local musical identities built from a musical memory, in Belém do Pará.
