The aim of the present work was to evaluate the interaction genotype X environment for characters of carrot and estimate the correlation between characters in Distrito Federal agroecologic production systems. Tests were conducted in areas of agroecologic cultivation (Natural Agriculture - AN and Organic Agriculture - AO) with the evaluation of the following characteristics: incidence of leaf blight, incidence of root cracking, root length, root diameter, root mass, xylem diameter, ratio of xylem diameter/root diameter, format of root tip, format of root shoulder, parameter a* of xylem and phloem. The experimental design was randomized blocks with 100 half-sib families in two replications. Variance analyses were conducted jointly and for each system and estimates of correlation. It was found that the character’s root diameter, root mass, xylem diameter and ration of xylem diameter/root diameter showed no interaction families x agroecologic systems. The parameters a* of xylem and phloem correlated positively with each other in the two agroecologic cropping systems. It was observed that the greater the xylem diameter, the lower the concentration of total carotenoids in the xylem of the root. It was also observed that roots with greater length have lower index of crack. It is suggested the installation of essays in one place, since the characteristics which have close relationship with root productivity (root mass, root diameter, xylem diameter and ratio of xylem diameter/root diameter) showed stable performance of the genotypes in different systems.
