CALL FOR PAPERS (SPECIAL ISSUE) [EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE]
CIVIL AVIATION AND OUTER SPACE LAW: NATIONAL AND INTERNACIONAL REGULATORY APPROACHES
This special call for papers of the University of Brasília (UnB) Law School Journal is organized by the professors Inez Lopes, Gabriel de Mello Galvão, Marcelo P. Queiroz and Olavo de O. Bittencourt Neto, with the support of the Study Group on International Air and Space Law (GDIP-Air&Space), the Transportation Law Research Group (GETRA), the Center on Law and Regulation (NDSR), all of UnB Law School, and the research group Law and Space Policy of the Catholic University of Santos Law School (UNISANTOS).
The central theme of this call for papers is Civil Aviation and Outer Space Law: national and international regulatory approaches. Thus, it intends to produce, encourage and promote knowledge from academic and professional research on national regulatory legal regimes and their regulatory agencies in Brazil, for example, the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) on economic and safety technical standards. Apart from considering multilateral international aspects within the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), among others. Besides, it seeks to investigate bilateral and regional agreements on issues and guidelines from non-governmental organizations, such as the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Therefore, this special issue aims to deepen these themes, in a critical, interdisciplinary, comparative and sustainable perspective.
