A Ética dos Incentivos ao Paciente

Os incentivos aos pacientes relacionados aos cuidados com a saúde ”“e as questões éticas associadas a esse processo- têm sido objeto de discussão constante em nossas sociedades. Como o paciente e como as sociedades querem viver? E como os provedores de saúde querem que eles vivam? A responsabilidade individual com a própria saúde, cobrada dos pacientes, e as intervenções propostas pelos provedores de saúde têm limites? Quais são esses limites? O custo monetário dos processos de saúde e dos incentivos deve fazer parte dos processos de decisão? Os autores discorrem sobres essas questões, procurando fornecer insights de como indivíduos e sociedades podem lidar eticamente com essas demandas, de maneira a levar as pessoas a prevenir a doença de modo mais efetivo, levando estilos de vida saudáveis e considerando uma alocação criteriosa de recursos.
