The main focus of this research is the analysis and description of phonetic-acoustic aspects of vowels in the Cinta-Larga language. This language forms, together with five other languages, the Tupí-Mondé family, which in turn belongs to the Tupi branch. As methodology, 220 sound samples of this language were generated, through recording in a silent environment with two native speakers of the language, organized in a database. The segmentations, notations, values of the formants and the duration of each segment were extracted through analysis in the PRAAT program. The values of the averages of F1 and F2 of the oral and nasal vowels in different positions in the word are described, as well as the measures of duration of these segments in the same context of realization, in the light of theoretical and methodological contributions of acoustic phonetics proposed by Ladefoged , (1975, 1981, 1995, 2001), Ladefoged and Maddieson (1996), Kent and Read (2015), Barbosa and Madureira (2015), Moraes and Wetzels (1992) and Couto (2016).
