The Revista Brasileira de Linguística AntropolÓgica ”“ RBLA (Brazilian Journal of Anthropological Linguistics) is a continuous publication edited by the Laboratory of Indigenous Languages and Literature in association with the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics of the Institute of Humanities of the University of Brasilia. The journal was conceived as a gap filler among contemporary Brazilian scientific journals, as a means of promoting scientific research on the languages ”‹”‹and cultures of indigenous peoples in South America from an interdisciplinary perspective, that encompasses fields such as Linguistics, Archeology, Anthropology, Sociology, Ethnology, History, Genetics and Biology, among others. The journal has been published on a regular basis since 2009 in a continuous flow system, frequently together with special issues on relevant topics.

Only papers submitted by researchers with a doctoral degree at the time of submission are accepted. In cases of co-authored work, at least one of the authors must have a doctoral degree at the time of the submission. An exception will be made for indigenous academic MA or PhD students, in line with the policies of inclusion of indigenous people in Brazilian higher education highlighting their fundamental contribution to anthropological linguistic studies on their respective languages ”‹”‹and cultures.

The RBLA editorial policy requires submitted texts in Portuguese to comply with the Portuguese Language Spelling Agreement (2016). The Journal also accept articles written in English, French or Spanish.
