This paper discusses the coming of the logic of the capitalism in indigenous villages, especially with repercussions on fishing, hunting and feeding of the Baniwa people in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas. The objective is to present contemporary situations related to technical preferences and industrialized materials of fishing and hunting, management of areas and consumption of processed foods in villages. The study was stimulated by the hypothesis that in the last decades Baniwa communities have been facing strong and inevitable growth and expansion of capitalism associated with the intensification of interethnic relations. Its impacts on traditional modes of livelihoods and territorial management are equally strong and increasing. The discussion of these subjects is divided in three parts: the first deals with the presentation of the traditional ways of life of the ancestors, the changes caused and the tendencies; the second part presents the learning process in fishing and hunting, comparisons of fish in different decades and Baniwa participations in the labor market and in the income transfer programs; the third discusses current situations of fishing, hunting, feeding and trends for the future. And finally, the conclusion, which is opinionated about what must be done to prevent critical situations in these areas from advancing wildly. So the topic of this article is being discussed.
