The presence of the canvas-body, performance, and gesture in Nívea Sabino’s Interiorana work
Keywords:
canvas-body; performance; body-image; gestureAbstract
This article aims to undertake a critical reading of the work Interiorana by Nívea Sabino (2018), based on the concept of corpo-tela created by Leda Maria Martins (2021). In this sense, it’s perceived that the images contained in the work resonate as deixis in the poems, recreating movements inherent to a corporeality that constitutes the very essence of the work itself. The article also aligns with the reflections of Richard Schechner (2003), Paul Zumthor (2007), Leda Maria Martins (2021) on performance, and with Jean Galard’s (2008) perspective on gesture. In conclusion, it's established that the linguistic situations, their creations, and their visual records act as gateways to screens and scriptings of a syntax of adornments.
