This review of Amor mais que maiúsculo -- cartas a Luiz Augusto seeks to trace and discuss three aspects of Ana Cristina Cesar's epistolary writing that echo her poetry: plurilingualism, love of response, and metalanguage. In the letters in this edition (Companhia das Letras, 2022), one can see not only the correspondence of a young Ana, but also drafts of her writing and style that begin to take shape. It is a reading that favors the aspect of writing rather than the biographical content present in the letters.
