Abstract

The objective of this text is to analyze capoeira in the framework of the cultural ecosystem proposed bde quy Couto (2016). The article will begin by a short presentation of the history of capoeira in Brazil, presenting some of the most important features of this practice, evaluating them as belonging to the cultural ecosystem. Culture is an ensemble of signs or systems of signs of a community, better, it is the totality of signs of this community, therefore, it is language in the broad sense. Capoeira will be seen as a type of cultural language of the Brazilian culture.

Zilda Dourado, Universidade de Brasília

Professora efetiva do curso de Letras da Universidade Estadual de Goiás - UEG - Campus Quirinópolis. Possui doutorado em Linguística pelo Programa de Pós Graduação em Letras e Linguística da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Federal de Goiás (2015-2018). Possui mestrado em Linguística pelo Programa de Pós Graduação em Letras e Linguística da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Federal de Goiás (2011-2013). Graduada em Letras, habilitação em língua portuguesa, pela mesma Universidade (2007-2010). Realiza pesquisas na área de Linguagem e Sociedade com ênfase em Ecolinguística, Antropologia do Imaginário, Semiótica Greimasiana, Análise do Discurso e Ensino de Língua Portuguesa. Professora Orientadora do Projeto Institucional Residência Pedagógica da CAPES desenvolvido na Universidade Estadual de Goiás - Câmpus Quirinópolis. Coordenadora do curso de Letras da UEG - Câmpus Quirinóplis, biênio 2019-2020. Pesquisadora do Núcleo de Estudos de Ecolinguística e Imaginário (NELIM), cadastrado no CNPQ.
