This paper has the scope of presenting the linguistic ecosystem of Italian immigrants who dedicated themselves to the work of newspaper distribution in the cities of Juiz de Fora and Rio de Janeiro. Based on the assumptions of Ecosystemic Linguistics, which sees a speech community (SC) as the linguistic eccosystem par excellence. This ecosystem is delimited by the investigator according to his needs. We compare the SC ‘Fazenda Zé Artino’ (COUTO, 2016), with the SC of the newsagents, pointing out the differences between them and showing the possibilities of studying them from the holistic perspective of Ecolinguistics.
