Abstract

Translation of the text The Death of the Duke of Enghien, by Léon Hennique, which presents the events surrounding the trial and execution of the Duke of Enfhien in 1804 by orders of Napoleon Bonaparte. His death transformed him into one of the martyrs of the revolution, expanding him as a literary motif in Romanticism.
