Considerações sobre a variação da preposição "de" na aquisição do português brasileiro
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper investigates variations in the occurrence of prepositions in the acquisition of Brazilian Portuguese (BP). This work adopts the minimalist version of generative theory and analyzes data from a corpus of children’s speech composed of recordings from two children acquiring BP. The variation is analyzed parallelly with the adult grammar and we try to find clues on the origins of variation in the derivation of the phrases under analysis. We will discuss whether late insertion can explain more adequately the variation of the preposition (post-syntactic insertion) or simply the preposition’s phonological features are not pronounced
