THE THEATRALIST SHAKESPEARIAN POLICY REPRESENTED IN HAMLET

Abstract

Through a qualitative analysis proposal, an investigation of the following theme was followed: As ações políticas no século XVI e a representatividade na corte, em Hamlet. The political actions and strategies of than king Claudius character within the government are linked to foucauldian studies, mainly in Estratégia, Poder-Saber (2006). Together with a work of representation of palace life, Breviário dos Políticos, by Cardinal Mazzarino (1997), we come to an approximate understanding of the character said to one of the great references noted in the piece, which discusses political spheres, the work O Príncipe, by Niccolò Machiavelli (2006). Bloom (2001 - 2004) tell us about these character focused on his political practice and discusses his practice prior to his current state status and his relationship as king. Such articulations point out that in the construction of the character (king) Claudius, with the Shakespearean work, the discourse elaborated by the character is based on seduction. The steps taken by such a character, significantly, lead to discussions that suggest mediation between his character as a dissimulator and the aspects to be able to remain in power, there is a representation of leader studied in Machiavelli.
