Global governance and the militarization of the outer space

The article aims to demonstrate the possibility of applying mechanisms of global governance to solve the problems related to the militarization of outer space. Initially, a brief history was made on the question. Subsequently, it was analyzed how the global governance mechanisms, inspired by the "Ottawa Process", would be applicable in solving the problems in the mentioned environment, reinforcing its use as a way of global consensus.
