Abstract

This article examines the conditions for the actual crisis in Mali. The historic misrepresentation of northern regions in the government of Mali may elucidate the causes of the civil crisis that may be not sufficiently explained only in terms of strategy for mineral resources or spread of Islamic extremism in the country.
