Amores Mal Compreendidos
pragmatismo e americanismo na ação internacional do Brasil durante os governos Dutra (1946-1951) e Castelo Branco (1964-1967)
Keywords:
Brazilian Foreign Policy, Castelo Branco, Gaspar DutraAbstract
Characterized by their intense relations with the americanist foreign policy orientation, both Dutra and Castelo Branco governments are frequently analysed in International Relations historiography as non-pragmatic in theirs international actions. This paper main objective is to rethink the intensity of Brazil’s hemispherical relations, in both periods, and to question if pragmatism was really absent in brazilian’s foreign policy.
