Lessons From Nauru
a securitizing move on climate change

This article studies the international relations’ securitization of the climate change. It performs a Sociolinguist Discourse Analysis on “On Nauru, a Sinking Feelilng”, article written by Marcus Stephen, Republic of Nauru’s president. For this, it adopts the constructivist concept of “securitization” and a methodology here named “triphasic analysis”.
