Workers’ participation in a socialist country

Abstract

This article examines recent transformation of workers’ participation
in industrial management in socialist contries with special emphasis
on the Polish case. It deals with the established relationships between
institutional changes at the social, economic and political levels and changes in industrial democracy. It also sets out some projections regardings
directions of the process of modernization in the several forms
of industrial management for the next decades in those countries.
