The attractiveness of flowers to natural enemies is one important characteristic to be considerate in theselection of plants that might compose the agricultural landscapes, because the availability of nectar and pollen to predators and parasitoids is one of the prerequisites to optimize their efficacy as biological control agents of pests. The present revision aims to relate the information available about the potential offlowers on the control of pest insects to the development of sustainable agricultural systems, with low useof inputs and efficient energetically, since the flowers can make possible the increase of the density and diversity of natural enemies of the pets in the agroecosystems, optimizing the natural biological control, because they may serve as source of vital resources to the natural enemies, making possible the increase of the efficacy of the natural enemies as biological control agents through of the combined effects of the increase of survivorship, longevity, fecundity, retention time and immigration of the natural enemies, mainly of the predators and parasitoids
